OUR PROGRAM
|
Our curriculum and materials are designed to spark children's interest in the language and culture. Students will advance levels, from beginners to experts, continuing to build on their knowledge of the language. Classes are offered at many elementary schools (through their after-school enrichment programs), preschools, and daycares in Cincinnati.
Students gain a broad understanding of the culture through the use of arts and crafts, the celebration of traditional Hispanic holidays and events, cooking classes with their parents, and may even take a salsa dancing class! Classes are offered based on age and level of proficiency. Click here to view our class policy. Click here to read our testimonials. |
CLASSES
Our Spanish classes consist of three 9-week sessions (27 weeks in total) that run continuously from September to April/May. Students may register for 1 to 3 sessions during the school year. Our average class size is 8-12 students.

For our youngest students (children ages 3-5) |
Children will study basic Spanish vocabulary through games, songs, crafts, and hands-on activities. Topics include greetings, feelings, food, clothing, animals, the family, classroom vocabulary, and musical instruments. Students will be using the textbook Hola Mis Amigos - Level 1.
For students in elementary schools (Kindergarten - 4th grade) |
Students will continue to learn new vocabulary including seasons, days of the week, months of the year, weather, and opposites. Students will be using the textbook Hola Mis Amigos - Level 2 and Level 3.
|
This class is specially designed for older students who want to get a head start in the Spanish curriculum offered at Middle and High Schools. There is a special emphasis on the conversational skills covering conjugation of verbs in the present tense. Students will "visit" countries from Latin America while expanding their knowledge of the vocabulary, using Online Resources with practice activities, videos filmed in Latin America and audio clips. Special projects like "Hispanic Personalities in the USA" will also be included in this level.
For students with at least 3 years of experience in Spanish. |
